Sinless Burgers

For two months I had been trying to lose 4 or 5 pounds; not a lot but they seem to have established a permanent home around my middle.  Since they were not paying rent I was adamant that they be evicted ASAP! 
Since upping my amount of exercise didn’t seem to help at all I turned to the diet Katherine Middleton’s mother supposedly used prior to her wedding; the Dukan Diet.  She looks great and I imagined myself looking just as good in the kind of skinny jeans my daughter wears!  Well that will never happen and in reality I don’t want to wear matching outfits with an 18 year old.
Created by a French doctor it starts you off eating only protein for a few days.  I’m not going to go into the diet here; if you are interested one can find it online.  I’m bringing it up because I created the yummiest burger while doing the protein only days and it has become a hot favorite with my family!
The grated cheese that is on the outside of the burgers gets a yummy crispness and the mozzarella inside the patties keeps the burgers extremely moist and tender.  These days I serve this with grilled zucchini and asparagus along with French bread sliced, drizzled with olive oil and grilled along with the patties.
Ingredients:
1 pound leaned ground beef 90/10 is what I use
1/3 Cup no fat grated mozzarella cheese
1/3 Cup no fat grated cheddar cheese
4 Tablespoons balsamic vinegar
½ Teaspoon salt
½ Teaspoon pepper
Method:
Heat BBQ to high (or broiler)
Mix all ingredients together
Shape into 4 patties
Using tongs wipe bbq grill with a lightly oiled paper towel
Place patties on grill uncovered for 2 minutes
Cover grill and continue cooking for 3-4 minutes
